Day 56 – Alerted
Not much time today but I managed to do some tests with the Kingpin escape behavior. Much like the stealth mode, I now added an alerted character state.
At the beginning of the game the Kingpin is unaware of anything going on, and just stands around. During the AI turn, nothing happens, no reason to move.
When the Kingpin spots an enemy soldier, he becomes alerted and from then on he will try to escape.
Tomorrow I’ll experiment with turning the code into a behavior tree and add some extras, like the Kingpin only drawing his weapon when alerted.
